Hi Dan,
My guess is the charger has failed. Check the fuse and the mains supply - some people even forget to switch the power on.
If you can see if you can borrow a different charger (designed for your machine) and see if that works. Alternatively you could try your charger in a different laptop.
Also bear in mind you might also need to remove all power sources (battery and charger) and press the power on button for about 30 seconds, and then reconnect the battery and charger.
