Windows 8 Laptop won't connect to Internet

Hello,

I have an older Dell laptop with a new hard drive running Windows 8. It all worked well until I stopped using the computer for several months and now it won't connect to the internet thru my WiFi router. Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.

OK, well is the wireless device certified for 8? Did it ever work on 8?

Do you pull an IP but cannot browse? Did the WIFI password change? Can you log into the network with any other device?
