In the Adobe site the Test Flash Player states the Flash Player (Shockwave Flash Object) in IE11 is DISABLED or ACTIVE X FILTER is on.

Neither of the above is true according to Manage Add-ons/Tools and Extensions in IE11.

Please provide some understanding and a fix for this this frustrating issue.

Computertech,

I am running on Win 8.1.

I also have problems opening videos in other web sites as well as Face book. Can I assume if we can fix the issue it will probably be OK for the opening of all videos (yahoo, MSN, Firefox, Comcast, etc)?

It appears as though some videos will open. However, I have observed these are mainly the Utube.

I appreciate your help on this issue. I have been pulling my hair-out trying to figure this out.

Computertech,

Yes, I tried all of the steps you suggested. I even attempted to download win 8.1. It came back with an update window "not applicable to my computer".

Where do I go from here?
