I have a Seagate Bkup+ 1TB Harddisk..it works fine all the time..but when i connect My Android Phone to my windows computer trough USB port the harddisk stops working (u can see it connected but when u open any folder or file it shows Not Reposnding) ..u take out the phone and hard disk is working again..and put phone back in, harddisk stops again..wht to do?

Hi Apoorvagora,
Have you checked if this happens when you connect another USB device while the hard drive is connected? Does this happen in all the USB ports? It seems to me that this issue may be power related. I strongly recommend you to go to Power Options in Control Panel. In the Advanced settings disable USB elective suspend settings. In Device Manager, search for the USB root hub and right click it. In Power Management, make sure that the "Allow computer to turn off this device" box is not checked.
If you have the option, check if your devices are working together on another PC.
