Sound problems

Hello,
I have a 15-r150sa hp laptop when I bought it I realized my headphones didn't go all the way through in the sound socket but worked perfectly. Someone used my laptop and pushed them all the way through and since then there is no sound coming out of my headphones. Thought the headphones were broken but they are perfectly fine and I do not think no one broke anything by just pushing them inside. Please help cause I've been trying some of the solutions I found round here and nothing helps. Does anyone know or experienced something similar??
