USB Stick Detected but not there

I have looked around for a while trying to find a fix for this but with no avail

My USB stick is connected to my computer, it installed its drivers when i plugged it in and is visible in my computer (only because i have all hidden files and connected devices visible)

As you can see i cannot open the drive, apparently rthere is nothing conencted to it

I tried to format the drive but it doesn't exist, right clicking on it bring up the menu that is does on all normal USB memory sticks


I tried uninstalling and re-installing the drivers and hardware
I tried assigning it worth a new drive path but the messages were still the same

Anyone got any ideas, I have not used the drive for a year or two but now i really need a data storage stick
