Hello guam,
Have you made any updates to your laptop prior to the green screen appearance? If you have, I suggest you to restore your system to its previous state. If your operating system is Windows, try entering SAFE MODE by hitting the F8 key and restore your laptop to the last known good configuration. You could also try to repair the laptop with a CD of your operating system if you have one.
