As suggested by Kiefer of MacOD forum, I downloaded Skype on my Macbook pro but it did not accept Skype_7-5-738.dmg.

I also read the initial part of Skype version 1.0 (again as suggested by Kiefer) but I want to be sure that it will allow VOIP calls from computer to computer whether Mac or other using windows.

Please help with a clarification.

Dipankar

Hi

I downloaded the version you suggested from your mail.

I dragged it on to applications.

Tried to launch it. The computer did not accept.

I still cannot launch Skype on my Mac OS X Yosemite version 10.10.1.

. Your query on Version 1. I tried to get it from Google.

Hello Dipankar,

as long as the computer/smart phone has Skype on it, you can make Skype-to-Skype calls for free.

You can also purchase credit for your Skype account and this will allow you to make calls to any number.

Hello,

Install Skype from here:

https://www.skype.com/en/get-skype/

This will give you the latest version of Skype.

Where are you getting Skype 1.0 from?

Don't drag and drop. Double click the .dmg file and run it. It will install it itself.
