How to get internet connection with MS XP.

Hi guys, is there a way to get an internet connection now that MS has stopped support for XP and most importantly, blocked my internet connection?
I still use EX Pro on my backup PC so I don't want to buy a new operating system as I have Win 7 Pro on my lap top.

Microsoft has not blocked your connection. There a tens of millions Win XP still working and connected to the internet.

This is not quite clear as I received a message saying that my IE has a problem (Clearly from MS) and the best thing to do is upgrade to W 7 or 8. I realise that MS need to keep ahead with technology and sales but this is not quite the way I would do it. I can do every thing on my PC with the Win XP programme but don't try and connect to the internet via IE; e mail = OK; Bing comes up. IE no way will it work??? and therefore browsers are blocked.
