I borrowed my classmate's hard drive external because I am planning to reset my laptop and I need to back up my files that's why I borrowed her HD external. When I was creating a recovery disk in my laptop to backup my files in the hard drive, her files were corrupted. :( I tried everything to fix it but I really don't know what happened. I tried to fix it on CMD I followed other's instructions, I tried also to retrieve at EaseUS but her files weren't found.

Hello emocorn,
Have you tried connecting the external drive to another PC to see if it gets recognized there?
I would also like to suggest you to try with different USB/power cable because the ones you've got might've got damaged. Be careful with the power cable, it must be the same voltage as your original one.
Also, you could try making a bootable USB/CD Live Linux and try to access your data through it.
Test the external drive for errors with its manufacturer's tool for S.M.A.R.T. and come back to share the results of the tests afterwards.
Hope that I helped you.
