Windows 10 ethernet says connected but internet does not work

Was forced due to inaccessible boot device to reset my pc. New version of windows 10 set-up. Lost previous apps including Microsoft office 2010. That alone would've been a pain but no, it gets worse! Internet is connected but not working in browsers or search bar. I've tried "cmr" and entering the various command prompts without success. Also, I've went into IPv4 and changed to automatically detect and nothing works!! Please advise!!
