Cd rom not recognised in win 10

Hello,

I upgraded from win7 to win 10 but now my cd rom does not work and it is not recognized in device manager, so I have reverted back to win 7,will I have buy a new cd rom

Whether the CD-ROM works in Windows 7?

I have decided to stick with win 7 for a few months before upgrading to win10, but thank you for your help

When I updated had similar issue. Used "resolution 5" to solve my issue:
