Windows 8 forgot password to log in

Hello, my lady friend has a dell windows 8 and forgot her password to log in on the computer. the only screen that appears has her gmail address on it and when she puts in what she thinks is her password it tells her to go to accountslive.com to reset her password but she can't access any other screen but the one with her gmail address...what is the solution, any help is appreciated.. ps. we are both sr, citizens and computers are only used for messaging, banking, etc.

I suggest that, from your computer that she goes to:

https://account.live.com/resetpassword.aspx

and resets her password.

i understand that but we can't access another window on her pc..as soon as we power up we get her gmail screen how do we get accountlive.com on her screen..in other how do we get bac to the beginning of the computer start-up....she doesn't recall any paswords...

Do you mean that when you power up, you immediately get to the gmail sign in page, like the page to access gmail?

Are there any other button in the task bar?
