Display issue

Hello,
I switched on my system, made sure every connection was tight before switching it on actually. The system came on but wasn't displaying. The monitor went to sleep. What might be the problem?

Remove all of the ram. If it beeps, put one stick in and try again. If it doesn't beep, the MB is fried!
