Can see my folders but not the contents (using Mac)

Hi, For some reason my hard drive seems to have been partially corrupted : I can see the folders but when I open the contents, nothing is listed (whereas there are tons of files in there). There is no error message however.

I am using a Mac. Any suggestions on how to solve this / access my files again?
