Hi Buxon Antony,
I would use the drive's manual and check what does the blinking light mean. Next, I would check with another USB cable and on another PC. Have you searched for the drive in Disk Management and in Device Manager? Sometimes the blinking light may indicate a power supply issue, which may be related to your laptop's motherboard. If this is the case, the hard drive should be running fine connected to a desktop PC.
