So basically when I attach my hard drive or pen drive to my laptop, there is no notification of the windows explorer showing what to do with the files. Eg: Open folder to view files, import pictures, etc. It was there when the laptop was bought by me but however I guess it's been disabled by me by mistake or something else. Please help!!!

Hello anshulkhosla,

Please, follow these steps:
1. Go to Control Panel then Hardware and Sounds and click on AutoPlay
2. Put a check on Use AutoPlay for all media and devices to make that AutoPlay popup-dialog reappear when you insert an external media device.
3. Restart your computer afterwards.

Hope that I helped you.
