External Hard Drive Iomega

Hello,

The external drive is visible in My Computer and has a drive letter G:
The fault indication was "disk currupted and unreadable"
I tried chkdsk /f G: from the Command Prompt.
The tool run he disk and indicated having repaired issues and that it was available
However, when accessing the disk it now shows:"inaccessable harddrive, access denied" Any recommendation?

Hi Walter,

Do you have valuable data on the drive? Is formatting it an option? I recommend you to check the drive on another PC and with another USB cable. Open the drive manufacturer’s web page and search for some diagnostics tools. Check the drive and if it appears At Risk, I would recommend you to change it. If it has warranty, contact the seller.

Sounds like a dead drive to me.
