Toshiba tecra laptop won't start up

Hello,

One of the screen hinges was breaking up so I opened the laptop to see if I could repair it myself, couldn't so closed it back.
Also checked the hard disk one to see the size since I was thinking of upgrading to an SSD meanwhile.

But it won't start up now, the power light is flashing orange. tried removing the battery and holding power button for few seconds but doesn't seem to be working.

Pls help
