Hot tea poured on touch pad and it stopped working

Hello,


Hot tea poured on my touch pad and it stopped working a few minutes later and the cursor won't move though I can achieve most of the tasks using the arrow keys and the space bar how can I fix it? Or better off can a mouse work on it?

yes, you should be able to use a USB mouse.
