Hello,
I have a gen 2 ipod touch that has my entire music library from over 5 years ago. The device when plugged into my mac boots up (apple logo showing) then dies. I was able to successfully put it into recovery mode but I don't want to restore it because I will lose all of my music/notes/data/pictures/etc. any suggestions?

You didn't sync it with a laptop/desktop?
