How to Fix Problem Ejecting USB Mass Storage Device

Hi Ramikats
This can be caused by Windows Drive Indexing using the external drive.
You can try turning it off in the Drive Properties, but this will show down searches you perform on that disk. the following web site walks you through the process (for Windows 7) - with pictures as well!

You can also unplug it safely after you've shut down the system and all system processes have stopped.
I really appreciate thank you messages as a payment for solving issues :o)
