Windows reinstallation

As we all know that Windows 10 is free for one year for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 computers or laptops. But I din't find any license key out there. If I need to reformat my hard drive to reinstall the operating system what shall I do? How to reactivate Windows?

Hi Jondz,

As I understand it Windows 10 is a free upgrade. Therefore you will need to install Windows 7 or Windows 8 and upgrade it to Windows 10 using the upgrade tool you need to download and save in case of future installations on the same machine.

Im sure my friends will correct me if I am wrong with this.
