Are you sure the folder hasn’t been deleted? I strongly recommend you to check the device on another PC. You have already tried the most popular troubleshooting steps. Update your anti virus software and do a complete check. If you suspect a driver issue, open Device Manager and uninstall the external drive, restart the PC and reconnect the device.
