Toshiba laptop running on Windows 8 starts with dos prompt

Hi I have a Toshiba laptop ,when ever i switch on the PC the system does not boot instead it goes to DOS prompt ,i give f10 and "Enter" the system restarts and again goes to DOS Prompt

The HARD drive indicator does not flash during this process

Hi Sasinathan,

Is it possible to enter BIOS? If it is, open BIOS and restore it to its default settings. Check the boot sequence. The HDD should be on first place. Is the hard drive detected in BIOS? If the drive has failed, or there is a connectivity issue, the system may be searching for other ways to boot the SO. Have you tried booting from an installation drive?
