Disturbing Email from Yahoo Regarding My Account

Hello,

I do not recall setting up a Yahoo account, if I did so it was years ago and I have never used it. Today I received an email confirming that my current email address has been removed from my account. I did not do this and I want to shut down any account associated with my name. Yet there is no information on Yahoo telling me how to do this. I suspect an old account of mine has been hacked.

I suggest you just leave it.

Thank you for your response! Unfortunately I cannot access my old account because the hacker changed the username/password. Would you know how I can shut it down or is this what you meant by "just leave it"?
