Hi Haseeb azizi,
If the files seem hidden, I recommend you to open the Command Prompt and type the command:
attrib -h -r -s /s /d g:\*.*
Change the g letter with the drive letter of your hard drive. I strongly recommend you to test the external on another PC and with another USB cable. I recommend you to update your antivirus software and do a complete system scan.
