When I connect my 2-year-old Hard disk, it doesn't respond as it should have to do. I have checked it even in the Disk Management but found nothing. The thing to notice is that the light of the hard disk appears whenever I connect it to my computer. Kindly suggest what I should do?

Hi Mike Jones,
Could you please check the hard drive on another PC and with another USB cable? The LED light may indicate that the device receives power but sadly it may not be enough for the proper funcuinality of the drive.
Search for the drive in Device Manager, under USB devices. If it is there, uninstall it, restart the PC and plug the drive back in.
Are there any noises coming from the drive?
Hope this helps

Hello Mike, can you please explain what happened to your hard drive. Did it drop from your hands? It might be possible that your hard drive is physically damaged due to dropped down. Please give some more details so that I can help you further.
