A1 --> TODAY()
B1 --> 08/23/2017
C1 --> B1-A1
Format C1 to NUMBER

Hi Raghs,
Try this:
When specified date is in A1.
=A1-TODAY()
Excel automaicaly changes the cell format to Date, so change it's format back to default to show the actual days.
