Can't connect to internet

Hey, I have an HTC laptop that's on Windows 10. I cannot get it to connect to the internet. It started where I would try to connect but my computer would only see one bar and not be able to connect mean while my phone had no problem and saw 3 bars. Next it's used to work with an ethernet cable but now even that isn't working. What do I do to fix this?

It's possible you have malware/virus. I would check to see if the internet connection was changed to a Proxy Server.
