Spacebar and tab Keys Problem

Hello,
I am Enock, I have a problem with my Keyboard, When I press the spacebar it writes a dot instead of spacing and when I press the tab Key it gives an arrow in word Documents. I am using a HP laptop Windows 7 and Office 7.
Kindly Help

Okay,

To troubleshoot, you should try to use an external keyboard, if the space bar and the tab key work normally, then you will know that it is circuit issue with the laptop keyboard that only a qualified technician can repair.

If with the external keyboard the same problem duplicates, we could have to look at a software problem.
