Spacebar and tab Keys Problem

Hello,
I am Enock, I have a problem with my Keyboard, When I press the spacebar it writes a dot instead of spacing and when I press the tab Key it gives an arrow in word Documents. I am using a HP laptop Windows 7 and Office 7.
Kindly Help
