Hello Provi,
After doing the upgrade, have you tried to make an update of the existing drivers of your Macbook? If you haven't, may be the time for that has come.
Please, navigate to Utilities> System information> Hardware > USB – to check if you have the latest driver available.
If there's a need, you must update the driver. Let's see what happens.
Tell me what happened afterwards. Cheers.
