Boot up only loads the acer logo

Hello,
Whenever I turn on my laptop, which is an acer aspire 5733, it only loads the acer logo with the F2 menu selection, then it goes to a blank screen with an typing underscore on it, and then restarts again. Can someone help me?

you might have a hardware problem. I suggest you have a local PC repair shop do a diagnostic evaluation.
