windows 7 crashed, finally got back up and had backup on western digital stand alone hard drive but now can't get into to restore?? tried to do a backup on hd again and keep getting code 0x80010135?? any help please

Does it boot into windows at all? How does one perform a backup of a HD when the HD is bad? Does the machine run?
