I am trying to export my yahoo mail into Outlook 2016 but every time I do my password is not accepted. I can log into yahoo mail through the web using the same exact password with no problem.
I've researched many recommendations for exporting but none work. It will recognize the email but not accept my active password regardless of trying manual setup or having outlook do it for me.
Any ideas? I need my email folder of old mail exported so I can then export into my new email account in outlook.com.

You need to configure your Outlook account according to the yahoo settings. Have you referenced Yahoo SMTP settings?

Ahem, what about the incoming, as the OP has a scope of importing INTO Outlook!

I have configured everything according to yahoo setting. You show .com at the end of the Server setting which I've never seen before. It's typically mail or smtp.mail.yahoo but I'll try that.

Again....my issue is yahoo not identifying my password when trying to build account to connect to yahoo. The password works just fine when logging in on the yahoo website.

It also appears as though outlook it able to identify yahoo but can't log in due to password issue.
