Hello,
l have a Kingston 64Gb and have the following problem

I connect it and it prompts me to format it. I do format with fat32 and once done it's ready to use it.
However, every time I plug it, it asks me to format again, losing all data stored.
Any ideas how to fix this weird bug or it's permanently corrupted?

Hi Mike,

After you format the pendrive on your PC, are you using it on some specific device, like console or something? If you are using the pendrive on another PC or only to transfer files, there may be an issue with the device. If there is a drive letter assign to it, run the Command Prompt as an Administrator and type the following command:
Chkdsk L: /r

Replace the L with the drive’s letter.

Could you test the pendrive on another PC and confirm if the issue persists?

Hope this helps

Have you tried the Chkdsk command? Did you get some error messages while trying to complete the process?
When you copy some files and reconnect the device, you cannot see the files, but is the capacity still occupied or it seems like the pendrive is empty?
Please check the manufacturer’s web page for some formatting/repairing tool. Unfortunately, it is highly possible that the drive has been damaged and you may need to replace it.
