Laptop will not connect to internet

My laptop will not connect to internet. I have had my internet service check their equipment works and all other equipment works. Someone suggested I have a bad WiFi card. Help!!

What OS are you using? If it is windows 7, then you need to go into network setting, and set a location. Then the firewall will allow the connections!
