Black screen with loading dots

Hello, i opened my labtop and found a black screen. So i turned it of in hipes of fixing it. No luck. It shows a dell logo then a black screen with dots movong in a circle and a curser. I saw a solutionabout remov8ng the battery and holdong the power button for 1 min. That didnt work either. I have a Dell Inspiron 15 3000 series. I just got this laptop 2 days ago for Christmas as a present. Please help me.

It is possible it is doing updates. Turn it on and leave it alone for a couple of hours.

Thanks for responding it stoped the circle but the screen renains black with a cursor and goes to sleep without and input so unfortunatly not fixed yet? Any other suggestions?
