Hello, I recommend that you have a read through this article on what to do if you are unable to attach files in Gmail.
Alternatively I found this previous solution from the forums:
The problem may arise after a change in your browser settings. It may depend on the browser that you are using. You can try this:
Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced
When in the Advanced tab, did these two things
1) Click "Restore Advanced Settings"
and then
2) Click Reset (and OK to all the message warnings)
