Ipod software problem

Hello,

Whenever I try to download the software update I get the following even though my network connections are all working: " There was a problem downloading the software for the iPod. The network connection timed out. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, or try again later".

Does anyone know what I can do to get the software to download? I already paid for it. Many thanks.

Hello again world. Does anyone know where I can find out why my iPod Touch cannot download the 4.0 software update from the iTunes site on my HP computer with Windows XP Home edition? Thank you.
