WPA working but not WEP

Hi,
I recently got a D-Link DIR-615. I configured the router to have a WPA password. But i also have a ds which ca only connect with WEP. But when I change the password to WEP my laptop cant access the internet. But my desktop computer and ds can.
Please tell me what im doing wrong with the laptop.

hi,
In ur wireless router you have to select which is the default key you are going to use. Specify the WEP key as 1234567890.
now set the default key to 1.
in station (PC) give the WEP key and select the default key as 1 there also.
