Help me !! Wep key only lets me put in 8 characters

Hello,
Me and my boyfriend just got a wifi box and tried to access the internet through our ps3 but it wont connect.
I think its the wep key because our wifi key is 10 characters but when we put that in and press enter only 8 characters show up. If anyone knows how to fix it please help !! Thanks

It doesn't matter how long the security key is, you can still type it in. It will only show up to 8 characters but when you type it in, just type in the whole password and press start and then press next.
I recently had my wifi encrypted and my password has 15 keys so I was worried when I only saw 8 but turns out it was fine. Good luck, hope I helped!
