Acrobat Reader is the classic Adobe software that allows you to read and to print documents in PDF format. PDF files are ideal for several types of projects guarantees the protection of information of the source file, including text, drawings, image colour, photos, etc.
Adobe Acrobat Reader also allows you to show, rotate, annotate and measure the 3D models incorporated into PDF documents that were created with 3D Adobe Acrobat. Additionally, Acrobat gives you the ability to work with online PDF files.
Is Acrobat Reader Free?
Acrobat Reader is the free version
of this program - it allows you to read PDF’s, but not edit them. A paid version exists and it is simply called Adobe Acrobat. The paid version has the following additional features:
- Annotate PDFs
- Work with others and share PDFs
- Work with Scanned Documents
Do I need It?
It depends on the system you are using. If you are using Windows for example, you will need it to read PDF files. Mac’s come with Preview that reads PDF files.
Whilst there are alternatives, Acrobat Reader is arguably the most straightforward if all you need to do is view PDF’s.
