What is UltraSurf?
UltraSurf is a freeware internet censorship circumvention product developed by UltraReach Internet Corporation. Historically, it has been developed by Chinese groups of Falun Gong so users can bypass the Great Firewall of China.
The service works by creating an encrypted HTTP tunnel between your computer and a pool of proxy servers, hence enabling you to bypass firewalls and censorship.
What are the key features of UltraSurf?
- Get free from censorship: Safely encrypt all your HTTPS traffic using end-to-end technology and route all your traffic to private servers. Become a constant shape changer with an IP address that is changed thousands of times per hour. Get access to lots of censored content.
- The simplicity of use: Simply follow our installation instructions below, and you're good to start using UltraSurf.
- No account needed: You don't need to register for anything or log in using any account credential because the software works as-is. No log-in policy helps prevent any security breach on your email or phone credentials from being used to know if you use UltraSurf.
- Amnesia mindset: Cookies and search history won't be saved or registered on any side.

- Download the file we provide you with at the top of the page and run it like any other software.
- To use, double-click it, and it will establish a secure encrypted tunnel to the UltraReach servers and open their default web browser from which you will be able to browse the web more safely.
Is UltraSurf free?
UltraSurf is a completely free tool.
Is UltraSurf safe?
The software has been developed to make use of sophisticated, proprietary anti-blocking technology to bypass filtering and censorship online. UltraSurf is a secure tool that allows you to connect to one of the private UltraReach private servers by creating an encrypted tunnel between you and the server; your data will never be leaked to third parties. Note that even though the software encrypts HTTPS traffic using end-to-end encryption technology and changes the IP addresses of their proxy servers many times per hour, it does not encrypt any HTTP traffic.
UltraSurf is designed to bypass censorship and offer more online privacy through industry standards encryption as it adds a layer of data obfuscation. However, UltraReach's content filter may block websites classified as pornographic or otherwise offensive.
Last but not least, Ultrasurf is not responsible if you decide to share data such as your IP address using other ways or if someone manages to access your computer. The purpose of this application is to increase your privacy, so make sure to read the dedicated Ultrasurf security page before using it. Also, remind that WebRTC may leak your IP address and that Google Chrome does not enable you to disable WebRTC.
Is UltraSurf the best solution?
There is no best solution. It always depends on your needs. But you can be sure that UltraSurf is more anonymous than just some VPN. Indeed, VPNs also encrypt traffic, but they are made to be used under normal traffic conditions. So even though your Internet Service Provider or any other third parties cannot view what website you visit, they can still filter what server you try to connect to (your VPN's server) and block the connection.
Is UltraSurf a VPN?
No, it is not. UltraSurf hides your IP through the proxy server, and your traffic is encrypted between your computer and the proxy, but not between the proxy and your endpoint. Besides, unlike most VPN services, you cannot choose where the relay server you connect to is located.
Is UltraSurf fast?
UltraSurf does deliver correct speed capabilities, but it is not blazing fast. It partly depends on where you connect to it.
