The events of Far Cry 6 take place in Yara, a fictional island inspired by Cuba in which we will have to accompany Yara local Dani Rojas, who plans to end the oppressive regime of dictator Antón Castillo. Plot

It seems as if time has stopped in Yara, the Far Cry 6 location, as wandering through the country feels like travelling back to the 60's. Antón Castillo is aware of the conspiracy against him and he does everything possible to continue in power. Meanwhile, the guerrilla revolution, led by Dani Rojas, does not give up the fight to get the bloody dictator to fall. Another crucial element in the story is Antón's son, as he doesn't seem entirely convinced by the idea of following in his father's footsteps...

Gameplay

• Explore the island: Described as “the largest Far Cry map to date”, you can spend countless hours exploring Yara by land or sea and discover all the secrets it hides.
• Choose your gender: Dani Rojas can be both a man and a woman, depending on your preference.
• Improvised weapons: Players have access to "Resolver weapons", which are essentially home-crafted weapons put together using parts scavenged during your exploration, from old sardine cans to motorcycle engines. Juan Cortez, a former KGB spymaster, will be your personal weaponry advisor.
• Unique combat strategies: A completely new element in the Fary Cry 6 gameplay is the possibility to temporarily holster your weapon, and try to sneak past your enemies in a stealthy way.

Graphics

The graphics in Far Cry 6 are a feast for the eyes. The Far Cry series is characterized by using its own game engine, Dunia Engine, which is partially based on Ubisoft's CryEngine. This engine allows loading times to be reduced to a minimum without sacrificing visual quality or the level of detail of scenes, shading, vegetation, etc.

In addition to the possibility of living the Far Cry 6 adventure alone in the single-player mode, the game also includes several online multiplayer possibilities.

Far Cry 6 has been classified with the PEGI 18 tag, meaning it is only intended for an adult audience. Both violence as well as strong language are abundant in this game.
