How strange!
Are you certain that you have reinstalled XP2 before reinstalling XP3? XP2 was a prerequisite to XP3.
Have you installed these sound drivers ?
https://ccm.net/downloads/tools/4853-drivers-realtek-ac-97-audio/
Get them now because they are as rare as a pope's nose.
XP is no longer supported and finding stuff for XP is getting extremely difficult, no a days XP is a zombie. (Also very unsafe)
