WD Externot Not Detected:

Hi To All.
i have an external hard(WD passport). it works fine on my brother's laptop and on a desktop system. but not working on my laptop.
i have tried almost all solutions i could find on internet. but nothing.
its even not showing in device manager..
when i plug in, light blinks three times and get steady, a roaring sounds keep on coming from the drive. and nothing else.
