My super old iPod will not turn on (about two years old)

Hello,
My iPod from like 4th grade will not turn on how do I fix it. I've not been on it since 4th grade and I'm in 6th grade now.

Hold down both the power button and the home button at the same time for 30 seconds and it should turn on.
