Reboot Compaq computer without a boot disk

My desktop Compaq computer will not reboot. The message that I get is " DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER "
I don't have a boot disk . what can I do ?

Well, it looks as though either:
1. The hard drive failed! (DEAD NO WORKY!)
2. The hard drive power got disconnected (reconnect cable)
3. The Connector from MB to HDD disconnected (reconnect)
If you made no changes to the hardware, and have verified the connectors are all still good, then you have a failed HDD, and you need to take it to a technician to have them install, and re-install the OS!
