Downloading an attachment in my Yahoo email account

I am trying to attach a Word document to my yahoo email message. I am unable to download it. What steps can I take to resolve this? I have Trend Micro anti-virus protection. I have received these instructions, and can't seem to find "Virus Controls" on my computer....here are the steps: 1. go to Virus Contols...2. go to Protect Against Viruses 3. Check on "settings" 4. uncheck "threats in Webmail attachments". I cannot initiate these steps because I can't find "Virus Controls" on my computer
